The TEDxBreda theme Time To Wonder allows performers from in and outside the Netherlands to dwell on how ‘ours is a time of reflection, a time of wonder. From wondering is where new ideas emerge and fresh insights can be born. Also, it allows for our guests to use the 10 hours at TEDxBreda to truly take the time to wonder and marvel at what performers will create.
Nowadays, we have a lot of knowledge about a great deal of things. Moreover, each and every day we have an almost endless amount of experiences. And every single minute of our lives, we have the power to instantly decide on starting new actions and taking new directions. But what if we would take a moment to be truly still, to focus on something small and discover the even smaller parts of that particular something? What if we took a moment to wonder? The performers at TEDxBreda 2013 definitely do wonder. And because they wonder, they think, they explore, they experiment and sometimes they conclude.
Location and program
TEDxBreda will take place on Thursday, October 31st, 2013 at Mezz, the city’s centrally located and renowned pop podium that has offered to be our location partner for the event. The program starts around 13h30 and will end around 22h.
About TEDx
TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxBreda, where x=independently organized TED event. At our TEDxBreda event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.”. Our team consists of over 20 volunteers who all support TEDs motto “ideas worth spreading”.
What is TED
